Japanese investment company Metaplanet continues to accumulate bitcoins: on April 21, the firm announced the purchase of another 330 BTC worth more than $28.3 million.
The transaction was carried out through a subsidiary — Metaplanet Capital Limited. The new batch of coins was bought at an average price of about $85,880 per BTC.
This is the second major purchase in April: earlier, the company purchased 319 BTC for $26.3 million, in total, taking into account the last transaction, Metaplanet now has 855 BTC on its balance sheet, which strengthens its status as one of the largest public bitcoin holders in Asia.
Against the backdrop of the news, Metaplanet shares on the Tokyo Stock Exchange showed positive dynamics - the market reacts positively to the company's strategy.
