In Arizona, the SB 1373 bill on the creation of a strategic bitcoin reserve was voted in the US House. Only the final reading remains, after which the document can be aimed at signature by the governor.
The initiative provides for the formation of the BC state reserve - the first in the United States. Arizona became a pioneer: the bill has already passed the Senate, and the state is in the same vote from the final statement.
According to the head of Satori Action Fund, Dennis Porter:
“There is one step left so that the bitcoin reserve is on the governor’s table.”
However, Governor Katie Hobbs previously promised to impose a veto on all bills until a compromise decision was found on financing social programs.
Arizona was the first in the United States to create a bitcoin reserve. Previously, a similar proposal sounded in Sweden - from confiscated assets.
